Assurance case patterns

A few months ago we started research work on assurance case patterns and argument integration with system models. We perform this research in cooperation with Gdańsk University of Technology. We develop prototype tools to explore possible solutions and intend to implement them in NOR-STA when they prove to be effective.

We have developed the first prototype and applied it to a medical device case study. With the use of the prototype we were able to integrate the argument with a hazard table and an AADL model of infusion pump. The results have been presented on ASSURE 2016 workshop on 20 September in Trondheim.

Argevide NOR-STA 6.7.1 released

SPICE assessment scale has been added to NOR-STA. The scale is compliant with ISO/IEC 33000 series of standards. The scale is used for software

process maturity assessment:
in software development process (ISO/IEC 15504),
for automotive sector (Automotive SPICE),
for medical devices (MEDI SPICE),
for space systems (SPICE for SPACE).

NOR-STA 6.7.1 released on September 15th includes SPICE assessment scale and minor improvements.

Argevide NOR-STA 6.7 released

On June 29th we released new version of NOR-STA system, containing new features and improvements. NOR-STA 6.7 includes following changes:

Search text in names, labels and descriptions
Search elements with or without assessments
Drag & drop elements
Improved performance and scalability with the MS SQL Server database
New licence type: floating users

We hope that thanks to the new features and improvements made, working with NOR-STA will be more efficient for our users.

Argevide NOR-STA 6.6 released

On January 13th NOR-STA version 6.6 has been released. The new version includes a browsing and searching mechanism with the use of tags. Tags are the keywords that allow you to categorize elements by any common name or abbreviation. By assigning a tag to all the elements of a given set, you will be able to find them quickly. The mechanism of tags can be especially useful in large and complex projects.

The new version of NOR-STA also includes a new administration module which facilitates managing folders, projects, users and repositories.
